More Than Travel Kits

If you’ve ever boarded a flight feeling cute… and landed feeling like a dehydrated raisin, then you already understand why FlyGirl exists.

I’ve been on planes constantly these last few years — for work, to visit family, for fun, for life. At this point, I’m in the air almost every month. And as I’ve gotten older, staying on top of my skincare while traveling has become non‑negotiable. My skin simply refuses to bounce back the way it used to.

But here’s the problem: There was never a grab‑and‑go kit that actually worked for me.

So I started making my own.

I’d hunt down individually packaged items, travel‑size versions of my favorite products, and little comfort accessories that made long flights feel less… long. I’d stash them in my carry‑on, tweak them trip after trip, and share my discoveries with friends who’d ask, “Okay, what do I need for this flight?”

And then came the moment — the one that flipped the switch.

I was on a flight to Croatia (a fun vacation with my husband), doing my usual in‑air ritual: removing my makeup and putting on a hydrating full face mask before settling in for the night. A flight attendant walked by, paused, and said, “That is so smart. Most people don’t think to use the time in the air to protect their skin.”

I laughed and told her I had a whole kit I’d made for this exact purpose.

She looked at me and said, “You should market that.”

My husband had been saying the same thing for months… but somehow hearing it from a stranger at 30,000 feet made it click. Maybe I really should.

So I got serious. I researched the market. I tested products I personally loved. I had friends and family test others. I focused on curating items that were high‑quality, effective for many skin types, and — whenever possible — from women‑owned brands. I wanted kits that felt intentional, elevated, and genuinely useful.

And that’s how FlyGirl Travel Kits was born.

We’re starting with four curated kit drops per year, each with tiered options and accessory add‑ons designed to make travel smoother, cozier, and more beautiful. Think: skincare that keeps you glowing, comfort items that make long flights bearable, and essentials that help you arrive revived and ready for whatever’s ahead — work, fun, adventure, all of it.
